Background on Work Assignments
In order to participate in Pond Athletic Association activities, every family must perform work duty. Work duty is necessary to maintain the association's facilities, operate special events and to staff the concession stand. The concession stand is an important source of revenue for the association and helps keep league fees down. At registration, each family chooses one of the work duty options shown below.
Note that work assignments are per family and not per child. So if you have more than one child in the association, you are not required to perform additional duty. In addition, there is no additional work assignment obligation for participation in the Concurrent League.
PAA requires a deposit check for each work duty assignment at the time of registration. Each deposit check is made out for the amount of the fine. In the event of a missed work assignment, your check is cashed. After each work duty is performed your check is destroyed. For families registering on-line, their credit cards will be charged for the amount of the missed work duty fine.
Note: If you are unable to work your assigned duty it is your responsibility to trade with another Pond family.
